Louise Clare Marshall & The Brethren - PizzaExpress Live, Holborn

Performing with her band on Sunday, 10th February, 2019

Louise Clare Marshall filled the PizzaExpress Live at Pizza Express with her smoky voice, the by-product of fiery passion, her voice lilts between octaves, smouldering in the embers of truth’s tinderbox.

With her band The Brethren - Luke Smith, Dave Ital, Steve Pearce, Carlos Hercules and Karl Vanden Bossche they played Jazz, Funk and salsa a version of Moon River.

Performing many songs from her two CD's, she also played homage to James Ingram with powerful versions of his classics: Yah Mo B There, Find One Hundred Ways and Just Once; and Aretha Franklin.

In the second half of her set, the band left and Louise perform a piano solo before being joined by her sister Melanie Marshall. To complete the lineup of familial talent, her daughter Alicia Marshall, played and sung with the accompaniment of Carlos Hercules on drums and then sang Eleanor Rigby, by the Beatle, with her mother on piano.

The packed audience, loved every minute of this wonderful musical journey.
